Ashkenaz faves Cesar Lerner (piano, accordion, percussion) and Marcelo Moguilevsky (clarinet, sax, wooden flutes, harmonica) return to the city and festival that introduced them to the international Jewish music scene 15 years ago. Born to Russian and Polish grandparents who immigrated to Argentina at the turn of the century, the dynamic duo has developed their own improvisational musical language, combining elements of the klezmer and Yiddish music traditions with Argentinian folk music, jazz, tango and other world music influences. After two decades of performing together, their practically telepathic musical connection is evident in every note and gesture, resulting in exceptionally dynamic and exciting live performances. The Lerner and Moguilevsky Duo has performed all over the world and released a number of acclaimed CD recordings.
